Being afraid of a new AWB if the Dems take over in Nov., I bought a .357 Puma lever action rifle and a 2nd .357 revolver(for the wife). This will give me a good defense battery that's less likely to be made illegal. Also,.38 cal. reloads are cheap,so more practice is possible!!

That puma is a winchester replica right? Top ejecting, casings go straight up?

You may find that it has issues with remington lead semi wad cutters. the shoulder on the semi wad cutter bound up on my Marlin .357 Lever gun. If you are using factory lead round nose, Ball or JHP it should be just fine. I switched loading my .38's from a SWC to a LRN just for the Rifle. The pistols eat both up lilke pac-man.

The wifes CCW is a taurus .357 mag 5 shot snubbie. I used to carry a pair of .357 SAA revolvers and the lever gun is going to be her BO rifle.

I just picked up a deal on a Px4 storm pistol so now I am looking at the Carbine just so that I can share magazines and ammo

hey that's good to know I just put money down on a marlin lever action in .357mag I looked at the .44 mag and 45 long colt and they both felt "nose heavy" the .357mag seemed to have better balance can't wait to take it out to the range now
