I have several of each calibre listed but Bullet placement is the key, not so much the size of the Boolit in question.

.45acp is my favorite for CCW.

When the zombies rise up, I'll be strictly useing 9mm.

With current ammo prices, I think the inexpensive 9mm may become much more popular.

I think .45 would still do most damage even to zombies...

I wanted to put most of my eggs in one basket so I opted for 45 acp. I have a couple of thousand rounds of 9mm for my one and only XD subcompact.

"BEST" is whatever works for you, and you're comfortable shooting.

I prefer the 40S&W. The G27 is small enough to carry in my pocket, but with 11 rounds and two xtra 10 rnd mags, I'm good to go for most serious encounters.

Also, the 40S&W is very popular with the LEO community in MA, so there is a good supply if I need it. Wink

+1 on that!

I really like my 1911 in 45ACP but I'm looking into a .357mag revolver and matching lever action for bugging out 1 caliber not 3 or 4 makes my life eaiser

I like 9mm because it's so plentiful and I think it's a good all purpose round. I plan on getting a 9mm semi-auto pistol and a carbine to go with it. For revolvers, I would probably go with .357 since I have limited shots and really need to make the ones I have count.

This is a good plan. I have a back-up .357 system myself.
