1. A 41 floor tall ladder
I'd always want a hand saw, maybe look into a roofers hammer/hatchet (dual use), 3' crowbar, electricians dykes, multi tool, good fixed blade knife
thats off the top of my head. What my main line of thinking is "what tools do I need to get out of the building? and what tools do I need to "fortify" my appartment" |

Great points!!! You might need to temp. barricade the door or windows if leaving isn't safe!! _________________ "If this ain't a mess, it'l do 'till one shows up" |

I am not all that worried about the windows on the 41st floor.
I would suggest you give some thought to what tools you will need for normal work around your apartment.
- hammer
- assortment of screwdrivers
- set of open end wrenches
- plier assortment (channel locks are good)
- small and medium sized pry bar
- assortment of fasteners
- torpedo level
- wire strippers
- dykes
- battery powered drill
- drill bits and other drill accessories
- duct tape
Get a five gallon bucket with seat, and the canvas bucket pockets. Smaller tools fit nicely inside the pockets, bigger ones in the bucket itself. And you can sit on it while working. Very handy.
Then think about what tools might be handy to have in case you needed to do something unusual. A big pry bar can do a lot.
Don't forget the most important and probably most often used tool - a plumber's helper. _________________ Bob |

Man!!!...I'd hate to have to try that. However, you never know... Luckily this is a hypothetical for me but probably not for others. Rappelling would be a useful skill in this case. Something to consider!!! _________________ "If this ain't a mess, it'l do 'till one shows up" |

I have a tool kit that I tailor made to fit dorm/apartment life, I'll put it up soon as a companion to when I get my dorm storage thread squared away. |
