As we all know, antibacterial pads come in three flavors. Of iodine, isopropyl alcohol, and benzalkonium chloride, which do you prefer? Here's how I see it:
Iodine
pros:
it kills microbial agents
more soothing than alcohol
cons:
a lot of people are violently allergic to it
Benzalkonium Chloride
pros:
it kills microbial agents
more soothing than alcohol
cons:
um... none that I know of
Isopropyl Alcohol
pros:
it kills microbial agents
it can be used as a firestarter in a pinch
cons:
is pretty astringent and irritating on skin
So what do you guys think about the issue? I roll with benzalkonium chloride, what do you use and why? Do you have a combo? If so, what determines what you use in any given situation? |
