Get Home Bag (GHB)- This is for you people who live in cities like NY and rely on public transportation to get home. In many situations these systems will be shut down and you will have to hoof it home.Get a day pack or messengers bag and pack it with the following.
1. Map with quickest route to home highlighted.
2. Flashlite.
3. Bottle of water.
4. personal first aid kit (PFAK)w/ extra prescription meds.
5. Coins for vending machines.(They may still be working)
6. Disposable lighter and book of matches.
7. Collapsable walking cane.(It WILL come in handy)
8. Loud whistle.
9. Long burning emerg. candle.
10. Small wash cloth and dish towel.
11. Sterilizing baby wipes.
12. Small umberella or pocket poncho.
13. Multi-tool or Swiss Army Knife.
14. Energy Bars.
15. Small battery powered radio.
Keep this with you whenever you are away from your apt.
