i have a rci 2980 base,grundig fr 200 hand crank shortwave with battery backup and built in led light.also bearcat bct 7 scanner with built in states local police and fire frequincies.also working on my technicians ham ticket.also have a cobra 200 gtl i listen to in my vehicle as i cant use either my base or my mobile untill i get my license.so i just listen and learn.
were looking to add gmrs 26 mile radios as well. and i also want anoether ten meter portable for use in the house for when the power goes out.I want to be able to run all my radios on a 12 volt marine battery.
if you can tell me how to post a pic i'll post a pic of my

seriously, i want the big box below, or something similar, with solar panel, it would be perfect

on the 26 miles thing, my talkies can pick up to 25 km on flat land... for the price(50-75$) it's not bad Wink

not being a dick here, just realistic... if you got hard times remembering your cell num, just how you plan on remembering your secured areas, food ressources and other caches??

BTW, morse code isn't harder to learn than def alphabet, or alphabet itself, you are just not using it enough to get it printed in mind
