If you are an adult male, and drop a coin from waist height, it takes that coin 1/2 second to hit the floor. If you drop it from shoulder height it takes 3/4 second. If you drop it from as high as you can reach, one second. If you drop 2 coins at the same time, one from waist height and one from shoulder height, that tiny time difference in between the 2 "dings' as the coins hit hte floor is 1/4 second. If you drop one from waist height and one from as high as you can reach, 1/2 second is the time diff between the coins impacting the floor.
A truly fast man, wearing a competition holster and belt can drop a coin from waist height, draw, and get both hands to an eye level point shot before the coin hits. He can also drop such a coin, and get a 1 handed, hip level point shot off, using a concealed belt rig. This one handed point shot will be capable only of reliably hitting a man's chest at arm's length range, however. The 2 handed, eye level point will reliably hit the chest at 10 ft, but not many of us get to wear a speed rig everywhere that we go! AirSoft "guns" are great for learning fast draw. You need not go to the range, and a bad mistake doesn't result in your blowing a hole in your foot or leg. |
